THE Keith Richards Les Paul Custom

History

Keith Richards has endured as one of the cult icons of rock music since his emergence as an unstoppable talent in
The Rolling Stones, commonly associated with his Fender Telecaster, known as ‘Micawber’ (to which we produce our own tribute model), Keith found favour with a beautiful 1959 Gibson Les Paul Custom in the mid 60’s and was his guitar of choice for many years. Like many guitarists of the period, Keith decided to add his own unique touches to the guitar and hand-painted an intriguing psychedelic design on the front of the guitar that included stars painted on the control knobs. Resembling something akin to a dream-like scene of a moonlit cliff face with waves crashing against it, this beautyused regularly by Keith during the late 60's and early 70's period of one of the greatest bands in the world.
