History

One of many stylish one-off pieces built for the masterful Steve Vai, the Thunder Cloud was a little known instrument, far more obscure than Steve’s acclaimed Flame guitar, which has become a cult favourite even though is was never put into mainstream production by any manufacturer. The Painted Player has added its own slant on the guitar, incorporating a lightening bolt headstock and a choice of setup options to bring you a unique and inspired tribute to a guitar that was nearly lost to the vaults of history, Steve’s unsung hero.
