John Mayer has been known for his humble ability to honour his own musical influences, rather than himself - commonly seen playing his Jimi Hendrix "Monterey" OR his "BLK1" Stratocasters. His 62' Sunburst Stratocaster is an ode to Red Hot Chilli Peppers legend, John Frusciante - featuring a distinctive relic pattern, Mayer's guitar differs in sporting his traditional Tortoiseshell pickguard and a set of "Big Dipper" single coils with his classic 'Mid-Scoop' range.
A real stunner, this has been one of Mayer's favourite Stratocasters and was, in fact, the basis for his Fender Signature Model (now discontinued).
