Duane Allman's contribution to musical history remains as potent today as his shocking death aged just 24. Prolific in his short career, his work with 'The Allman Brothers' is only eclipsed by his collaboration with Eric Clapton on the stunning album 'Layla & other assorted Love Songs', playing backing guitar on many tracks, most notably on the title track.
Allman's iconic Les Paul, used throughout his career, featured Alnico III covered humbuckers, Sprague 'Bumblebee' capacitors, bridge with custom brass saddles and a light-weight Aluminium tailpiece that he would wrap his strings around. One of the classic Les Pauls in musical history featuring a unique and uncompromising vintage tone.
