"CHICAGO" TELECASTER TRIBUTE
One of the founding members and lead guitarist of the iconic rock band “Chicago”, Terry Kath is revered for his incredible skill, ‘Ray Charles’ inspired vocals and his love-affair with a heavily modified Butterscotch Blonde Fender Telecaster that would become his best loved and most celebrated guitar. The guitar's ashtray bridge was cut in half and a Stratocaster bridge fitted in place of the original 3-saddle section - giving Kath 6-saddles for accurate intonation. The pickguard was removed, a Gibson USA Humbucker fitted in the neck position and the control plate 'flipped' before Kath covered the guitar in stickers representing everything he loved - including the Chicago Blackhawks and 'Pignose Amplification', which Kath co-founded!
