One of the most dynamic and eye-catching guitars of the ‘Glam Rock’ era, Gerry Shephard's "Star Guitar" has endured as a striking, outlandish piece of guitar design that continues to inspire fans and attract attention some 40 years later!
Shephard had two “Star Guitars” custom made, the first finished in metallic gold and the second in metallic silver, each taking the general design in a different direction and incorporating different pickup configurations, equipment and headstock design base dupon archive material of the original instruments. The "Gold Star" is based upon Shephard’s first and original "Star Guitar", featuring chrome hardware, dual Gibson USA humbucking pickups, tune-o-matic bridge and stop-tailpiece plus two independent volume controls and single master tone control with 3-way Les Paul selector switch. Combine this with a comfortable canadian maple neck with 'star' inlaid rosewood fingerboard, original thin paddle headstock with Kluson tulip machineheads and fitted Hardcase complimentary with every one, this vintage rock classic comes alive in the studio and on stage like nothing else...
TPP "SILVER STAR" EDITION

The "Silver Star" pays tribute to the second and more widely recognised incarnation of Shephard's prcinciple player, developed as a 'refined' version of the original - incorporating dual Gibson Mini Humbuckers, wrap-around bridge unit, two volume and two tone controls accompanied by 3-way Les Paul selector switch, 'star' headstock design with sealed chrome tulip machineheads and fitted Hardcase, this rock icon will light up the stage and light up your life!
