The lesser known of Jimmy Page's iconic series of Les Pauls, "No.3" has a varied history, starting life as a Les Paul Goldtop that Page had refinished in Cardinal Red and out-fitted with his signature set of Seymour Duncan Humbuckers and a single 'Push/Pull' Phase Pot like his "No.1".
Famous for sporting a prototype Les Paul 'B-Bender' in its latter days, the sad truth is that Page regretted the modification to "No.3" ever since, claiming it ruined the weight balance and the tone of his iconic Goldtop - the guitar was decommissioned soon after, so this 'Pre-Bender' Tribute is inspired directly by the guitar as she appeared in her original format, which Page adored...
