Heavily modified over the decades, the guitar's top was sanded back to natural Maple and various additional pickup routings and switch mods undertaken, all of which have been left in place alongside the guitar's single remaining Gretsch 'Filtertron' pickup! Forged from a heavily modified Gretsch Electromatic Double-Jet, this stunning guitar incorporates top-end specifications including 'Badass' style wrap-around Bridge / Tailpiece, Gretsch US Patent 'Filtertron' bridge pickup, Grover Tuners and Custom Made 'Bishop' Pickguard. Refinished in Satin Black and featuring a sanded back Natural Maple Top, the entire guitar is given a VOS finish and includes all the additional routing work, drilling and mods carried out by Malcolm over the years - including a custom modified rear switch cavity in the top horn (with custom plate) to emulate the change in weight balance to Malcolm's own original guitar! This guitar represents one of the jewels in the crown of our Relic Series, an ode to a rock legend. Includes complimentary Hardcase.
