Iconic British rock guitarist with "The Cure" from 1983-1993 before touring with "Page & Plant" and contributing to records from various alternative rock artists across the decades, Porl Thompson (also known as Pearl Thompson) is one of the great unsung heroes of his generation.When he rejoined "The Cure" in 2005, Schecter produced his legendary 'Corsair' Semi Acoustic that featured stunning artwork by Kev Grey that captured the imagination of a generation and has remained a sought-after favourite of fans ever since. Sporting a Bigsby B70 Vibrato, Seymour Duncan Humbuckers and Grover Tuners - it's distinctive look makes it one of the most recognised guitars of its kind.
DELUXE EDITION
Ibanez Artcore AS53 - £1,099.00
The Deluxe Edition is produced using a professionally modified, upgraded and re-finished Ibanez Artcore, one of Ibanez's flagship Semi-Acoustics selected for its similar design aesthetics to the original Schecter Corsair Diamond Series (long-since discontinued). The Deluxe Edition provides a cost-effective and traditional layout, featuring master volume and tone controls, 3-way pickup selector and Stop-Tailpiece accompanied by a bespoke headstock re-shape based upon the original Corsair design. Ibanez 'Infinity' Humbuckers provide superb playability and output making the Artcore a readily accessible and ideal base for the classic hand-finished artwork to shine, as well as a 'cross' overlay fitted at the 12th fret to complete the look, just like Porl's original - if you're looking for your next treat, this could be 'the cure'. SUPREME EDITION
Ibanez Artcore AS53 'Custom' - £1,699.00
Our most popular Edition, the Supreme is produced using a professionally modified, upgraded and re-finished Ibanez Artcore, including a re-positioned 3-way toggle switch in the top horn and custom 2 volume & 2 tone control layout (based upon the Corsair) but also features Grover Tuners, Bigsby B70 Vibrato and is upgraded with a set of Seymour Duncan Humbuckers to transform the Artcore into a studio and stage monster! Alongside a fully re-shaped headstock based upon the original Corsair design, she features superior playability and hand-finished artwork complimenting a 'cross' overlay fitted at the 12th fret just like Porl's. Includes complimentary Hardcase.
SPECIAL EDITION
Schecter Corsair (Current Spec) - £2,099.00
Produced using the current spec Schecter Corsair that features block inlays and a unique Schecter / Bigsby tremolo system, the Special Edition is aimed at fans looking to have a proper Schecter for the job but leaning into the current production design. Don't worry, she's still a beast and retro-fitted with a 'cross' overlay on the 12th fret and Seymour Duncan Humbuckers. A Ltd. Edition run, this is something a bit special and includes complimentary Hardcase.

The original, from the exact series used to create Porl's original insteument, from our Historic Collections we may be able to provide you with an original NOS production model to create the perfect tribute.
