THE TPP RORY GALLAGHER STRATOCASTER TRIBUTE
Rory Gallagher is affectionately regarded as one of the truly great rhythm & blues guitarists of all time. The Irish guitarist enjoyed a hugely successful solo career throughout the 1970's and 80's and his classic 1961 Fender Stratocaster shared in his success every step of the way. The guitar itself was purchased for just shy of £100 in 'Crowley's Music Store' in Cork, one of the very first Fender Stratocasters available in Ireland and went on to tour with Rory throughout his career. The original sunburst finish slowly but surely wore away during those years until virtually nothing remained (an effect caused by Rory’s unusual blood type, making his sweat very acidic). He sadly died at the age of 47 but his legacy lives on to this day.
