DEREK FORBES "YARDBIRD"
Designed in collaboration with ex 'Simple Minds' legend Derek Forbes, the "Yardbird" is a celebration of classic guitar production, hand detailing and modern touches - produced for his 2015 tour with the iconic band themselves, the "Yardbird" takes inspiration from Jimmy Page's original 'Dragon' Telecaster and modifies the concept to cater for the professional musician in a modern studio or on a massive stage.
Featuring a deep Butterscotch Blonde finish, tummy tuck, Lindy Fralin neck pickup, Joe Barden Modern-T bridge pickup (accompanied by coil-tap and phase wiring options accessed via dual push/pull pots), this is a dream Telecaster for any player to enjoy.

Based upon the original instrument produced by our Custom Shop team in collaboration with Derek Forbes, the "Yardbird" features a solid Alder body with deep Butterscotch Blonde finish, rear body tummy-tuck combined with a modern C-Profile original Fender USA Telecaster neck. Complimented by a Lindy Fralin neck pickup and a Joe Barden Modern-T bridge pickup, the "Yardbird" conceals dual push/pull pots to access bridge pickup coil-tap allowing the playing to switch from a thundering bridge humbucker to a more mellow and traditionally toned Telecaster bridge tone, while using the additional push/pull pot to access 'phase wiring' options when the 3-way switch is set to the mod position. A stunning guitar that is finished off with a beautiful Jimmy Page 'Dragon' tribute motif and classic 'Dragon' scratchplate. Includes complimentary Hardcase.
